i love coming here for massages, i always ask for oil and a bit more pressure. a lot of times i will ask them to switch from the back to massaging my leg muscles, they always do. heads up though, the initial cost for the massage is just the cost for the business to run, the worker does not get that money. i always give at least $20 tip, its not that much given the work they are doing. if im getting an hour long massage after the gym, i would tip like $40. its pretty labor intensive, its only fair. theyre very nice to me, and i've never had issues with them. a relaxing treat, helps me sleep better after.
This was my first visit. I was asked to pay before the massage and was informed of a $3 credit-card charge, which I agreed to. After the massage, I was asked to leave a tip. I initially said no because I did not feel a tip was warranted. The employee became upset and spoke to me loudly, which made me uncomfortable. I then offered a small tip simply to end the uncomfortable interaction, but she refused it, told me to leave, physically turned my body toward the door, and said not to come back. I found the interaction intimidating and very unprofessional. I understand that a business can ask customers if they would like to tip, but a tip is voluntary, and customers should not be pressured or treated aggressively for declining one. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I would not return.
